This isn’t much, but I’ve been feeling like maybe I should post some more to kollektief lately, so there you go.
I’ve had a nice time looking at modern art lately. I’ve been getting a bit into Donald Judd, as it seems to turn out that I too have a thing for boxes. Mmm boxes.
I just found this quiz online: Can you tell Donald Judd furniture from cheap Walmart furniture? I got 75%.
i’m so tired i thought at first that you wrote ‘i’ve been having a nice time at walmart lately’ and i braced myself for a shock :) also 83% ! i got the boxy bed wrong, and the table wrong.

oh – i got 83 too.. i got the standing shelf and leaning shelf wrong. yay. it was nice going to moma the other day. take care

wow, I got 83 as well! I guess that means I don’t just have one twin… we are triplets! how ’bout that! When I was taking a concrete sculpture class, I had an idea to make a concrete box with a sliding drawer. I ended up making something else. Started out with starfish then ended up doing this huge concentric circled, rippled, undulating piece. It was heavy as hell and unfortunately left it behind when we moved from SF. Big mistake, but at least I know it’s somewhere… somewhere, because that things doesn’t move very easily. I’ve been wanting to buy some sacks of cement to make planters and stepping stones for my yard.
Boxes are kind of awesome!
