since it’s been quiet up here i thought i’d post a short video i did as a group project for a class on drift cinema. the assignment was to remake a scene from one of the syllabus movies. we used chung king express. i like it – we tried to recreate in an imprecise low-fi quick and dirty way the shaking camera, frenetic jump shots and stills of wong kar-wai’s ocd filming style in 24 unskilled hours. the three of us all take turns being the woman in the wig.  the joys of looking like a whore in chinatown!

also i am 1/3 done with gradumate school! i’ll be in new york to the end of may if anyone wants to visit. in durham june/july visitors to the land of boring welcome and who knows where in august.

i am very bad at managing my time.  i never have enough time to do anything i want to do, and usually, this results in me doing many things mediocrely.  i have no idea how people keep up with the internet.  i think it has something to do with acronyms.

this was theoretically a waste of time, but it made me happy to do, so i’ll share it with you.
